Google Wallet now supported on Verizon Galaxy Nexus?

I did a Google search for Google wallet play store and opened the link via Chrome on my phone, not the play store app. I signed in to install it and there it said it was compatible with my phone.

Is it safe to sideload the apk from the dropbox link. Can someone explain how the integrity of the file is still there if it is given through a 3rd party? I am just trying to understand. I mean it is connected to money right so want to make sure nothing nefarious is going on....

Count me into the group of VZ GN owners running stock 4.0.4 and both the Play store on line and the Play app on my phone, neither tell me my devices are compatible with Wallet.
If I clear out the cache, will that kill any of my apps that I have downloaded?

I sideloaded the update on Day 1. Now each time I open Wallet, it tells me to update or postpone. I'm afraid it I click update it will screw it up. Anyone else see this?

Running AOKP JB nightly (Aug 10) with side-loaded Wallet. Went to the Play store via Firefox and my GNex showed up as compatible (listed as Verizon Galaxy Nexus). Pushed to my phone without a problem.. woot!

I've used Google Wallet hundreds of times since launch day...all over the place. Gas stations, CVS, 7/11, Wal Mart, Target, BB, Mickey D's, etc. etc. Any place that has the sensor above or in the debit/credit machine.

I prefer to sideload it...but this is cool anyway.

EDIT: Downloaded from the market just to test it. Flawless.

How do you get it from the market? I can't. And when I use a computer to find on the desk top the app don't even show up period no matter how I search for it

Most of them are either on Jellybean where it seems its possible for some, had sideloaded it at one point earlier and now can access it from the market, or there's a glitch in the matrix and I have no idea.. Lol

Might be a bad pad I used it today for the first time at MacDonalds it work great and the lady face when I paid with my phone made it even better

Do you have to be rooted to side load this or can you just run the .apk file and install?
