[AC Question]

It's the Google search widget that is not working. The bar most people I see have on their home screen of their Android phones. I have the same issue. When you clear cache or disable then enable app and re-add, it works for a little while, then it stops. When it's up and running you'll see the words "ok Google" in the search widget, when it stops working, that disappears.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Same issue as what? If you're referring to some other post, it'd be helpful if you registered on this forum so that you could respond within that thread.

What happens when you tap the widget -- nothing? Do you get any error messages?

Have you tried reinstalling it? The bar and pill were always pointless to me anyway. Why not just open Chrome and start typing in the address bar?
