Google's ordering strategy for the Pixel

It's also weird that people that ordered on announcement day got theirs the same day people that ordered two weeks later.

I wouldn't say that's odd. They were announced on the 4th, and released on the 20th. If they had enough stock for the orders up until that point, then they could fulfill the orders from announcement day all the way to 2 weeks later.

At any rate, I'm out. I know mine's supposed to ship next week, but with there seeming to be quite a few issues and the high cost, I'm going to wait for awhile, maybe until the next one. My 6p is still working (with the exception of a few issues) so I'll probably do a FDR to freshen it up a bit and see if it solves any of my issues. Cancelled the order this afternoon so everyone who ordered from Verizon after me moves up one place in line. You're welcome!

Google is dropping the ball in a bad way. I want one of these phones really badly, but it now says Ship date of 12/26 on a Black XL 128. Verizon just started running their buy one, get next one 50% off sale.
For comparison, last year I walked into a retail store on 10/09 and bought a Gold 6s+ 128 with no waiting. I'm not getting another iPhone, but I also don't want to wait 2+ months after a phones release to have one.

Ordered 0n 10/21. Still in pending status 23 days later...bought a like new S7 Edge for 470 off of SWAPPA. Was going to compare them but if I do not have a processing status by Wednesday, I'll cancel my Pixel XL order and just enjoy the S7 along with my iPhone 7+ . Will save the money and try again next year. I honestly thought they would ship it this week (a week early, like they always have in the past)...
