Its like this, they will push all accessories, ESPECIALLY on their flagship phones. However, as I have told many others, this isn't the exact same Tortola screen, it is Samsungs own thing that is SUPPOSEDLY the same. Another thing is that all phones will get scracthes regardless if it has that type of screen, it isn't suppose to be resistant against scratches only cracks, scratches don't render the phone useless, scratches do.

I doubt samsung would use a different glass screen on the us version than the european versions. If samsung is willing to use gorilla glass on the european galaxy s phone and considering samsung is using the exact same touch screen/ super amoled screen I don't know why they would go to a different part manufacture. It seems that it would be more efficient just to use the same glass screen because it would be cheaper for samsung to buy more gorilla glass screens because they could probably negotiate a better deal.
No, I know for a fact it's GorillaGlass and I think most of us do to.
I'm sure, but I guess there is some debate. People were doubting that the screen was gorilla glass because they were getting scratches on their phone and it was only in there pocket. However, glass doesn't scratch like that so for those who have those scratches, simply take a microfiber cloth and basically rub out the scratches kinda like sunglasses.
Bingo, and we have an answer! Happened to me. Scratch? Hmm, stayed calm wiped it off and voila, it's gone!I do have a somewhat nasty scratch on my keyboard, but I'm fine with it.
I have one on my keyboard as well. It came with the phone right on the "\" key. Whats that about!?!

LOL, that supposedly fake email was a classic.
I've got one on my "B". Is it a black looking stripe?
okay so it sounds like people are doubting others getting scratches and that they just need to rub it out with a microfiber cloth. I can attest it was in a pair of slacks I was wearing with nothing else and it has a scratch or gash about one cm long. I rub and wipe and its still there. you can especially see it when the screen is white. it has rainbow colors which tells me its really a scratch deeper than hairline. so is it just me?
No, look, it's not just you. Here is the thing: any glass (or any other surface) for that matter may scratch under any particular circumstance. Some types of glass or plastic may be more resistant than others. But that doesn't mean it's not going to scratch. It's always a possibility, simple as that.
