I have had my 6p for three weeks after moving from N3. This is the best on phone that I've ever owned and I've had a cell phone since 1991.

My question is simple. What do you use to clean the screen? Also, do you use a screen protector?

I just use a soft T-shirt. Gorilla glass 4 is pretty easy to clean and yes, the phone is really awesome!

I use a microfibre cloth when I can but anything fabric works. I use a tempered glass screen protector - and have sworn on them ever since one saved my Lumia from potential screen death

I have a tempered glass screen protector and I use anything available including my jeans. Probably not recommended but it works and I haven't scratched the screen protector yet.

No screen protector needed. GG4 is awesome stuff. I've never used a screen protector anyway, but I'm usually careful with my devices.

I totally agree. I just gently wipe my screen off with a soft T-shirt I something.

I have a glass screen protector. I usually clean my phone almost everyday with a paper towel and a bit of hand sanitizer. Clean the screen and wipe down the phone (I use a case) or I'll also just clean the screen with a t-shirt.

I use a Nillkin tempered glass screen protector (TG FTW) and clean with anything cotton or microfiber.

As for cleaning... I usually just use my shirt or a microfiber cloth. And I rarely ever use any sort of cleaner other than a damp cloth. Whether it be a screen protector or the naken glass screen, it has an oleophobic coating that resists gunk like the oil on your fingers. If you make a habit of using a cleaner, you can wear that coating off prematurely....and once that happens, welcome to Smudgetown.

I have the glass screen protector on my phone so I'm cleaning the protector not the actual phone screen and I'm cleaning the case not the naked phone.

I've read stuff online that phones have a lot, A LOT OF GERMS, that's why I like to clean mine w/ bit of hand sanitizer.

I'm not all that concerned with the germs.... in terms of cells, our bodies are more bacteria and other germs than actual humans. That's why we have an immune system. I'm of the camp that obsessive sanitizing probably does more harm than good. It reduces your environmental exposure and the bugs that do manage to stick around are tough as nails.

Plus, cleaning with alcohol will most likely strip that coating out quickly.... your screen protector, if its a halfway decent one, will have a similar oleophobic coating on it that your main screen does. I've owned some really cheap protectors that had a bad or non-existent coating and the sucker was a smudge magnet, I had to clean it constantly or it was a smeared mess.

As soon as its cleaned, it automatically picks up more bacteria from the air and whatever surfaces it touches (your hands, your pockets, objects in your house). Unless it stays in a clean room, it's never going to be germ free.

I've had good luck with Nillkins, that's what I have on there now. It fits nice, has nice beveled edges and when it does smudge a bit, its a breeze to clean.... But most of the higher quality ones usually have a decent coating. With TG protectors, going with a discount brand (not that you used one) usually means you get what you pay for.

Good thing about using a screen protector is that if does get damaged or worn I can easily switch out. As far as our immune system being pretty good, I know that too but I still like knowing my phone is clean.

I had a Yoozon (or Yootech if they are one in the same) on my wife's G4... thing held up like a champ for a good year.
