It will break, though. Ha. I'm currently in the process of installing a new digitizer on a DX.

And it will scratch, contrary to popular belief. Mine has a very small scratch and I treat it very well. I've never dropped it either.

It should, having a completely different set of suppliers is expensive. But again, Gorilla Glass is just a brand name Corning has trained us to use. It'snot necessarily the best product out there and we should really only be concerned with whether the product is prone to scratches.
