I had bought a Nexus-S from BestBuy (t-mobile unlocked) and have been using the same with Vodafone in India. Initially got an OTA for 2.3.6 and then upgraded to ICS using OTA downloads from android central. Tried ICS 4.0.4 update using downloaded patch - but failed with the infamous Error 7.
Finally last Sunday (8th april 2012) got an OTA for ICS 4.0.4 and the upgrade went fine without a glitch!
Battery seem to be better in the first couple of days. Normally it lasts only about 6-7hrs and this time around it lasted close to 10hrs.
