Got mine at BB this afternoon

After a 4 and a half hour wait I was able to get my hands on a 10.1. Unfortunately, it's the white-backed model as they didn't have any of the gray ones available. It's sad that Samsung made this event sloppy in that no news about how much stock was available nor what color model would be available nor what accessories would be available was made public until the very last minute. I specifically asked three different Samsung reps if the gray-backed model would be available and was given three different answers (both Samsung reps and Best Buy employees were totally clueless). A few people I stood near also though it was rather poorly organized. While it's no skin off my back as I'll just wait for the color variant that I want to be available in the stores and then do an exchange, I know that not everyone would have waited for a 16GB (only one available), white-backed 10.1. Of course, after spending a few hours waiting you're not just going to leave empty handed.
So I'll get home later and play with my temporary tab until the one I want comes out then do an exchange.

That's my story and i'm sticking to it...

Tbh I'm kinda glad they staggered the release like this. Forces me to take a week to see what people say about it and if certain issues (OS X compatibility) get fixed, or if others arise.

Otherwise, if it were available at the Best Buy that is currently 0.2 mi away from me, I wouldn't be able to say no lol

I got mine at best buy today too along with the free case and ne-yo ticket which I declined cause I couldn't go. But I will say I've already sold my Acer a500. Loving this tablet beyond.

I agree 100%... I am loving this tablet. It is fantastic. I will be sticking with my 16gb. the screen is excellent. On 3.1 it is running smooth. And the build quality is top notch.

Typing this from my tab while I relax in bed. I will say that this screen is way better than the Xoom's and I'm completely satisfied with the tab. I still plan to exchange it for the one with a gray back, but other than that the tab is a keeper. Those that don't have it yet are going to love it.

Typing this from my tab while I relax in bed. I will say that this screen is way better than the Xoom's and I'm completely satisfied with the tab. I still plan to exchange it for the one with a gray back, but other than that the tab is a keeper. Those that don't have it yet are going to love it.

Screen, battery life and the fact that I am curious about touchwiz UX is making me return my Xoom to costco for this. I hope it lives up to what I have heard.

Also, I kind of like the white. Did best buy have cases available?

I'm still waiting to have the one I won at the NYC meetup last week delivered. I can't complain since it is free, but I'm hoping the OS X issues are exaggerated. Would be a shame if I couldn't connect it to my MBP. So I would love to hear from someone that's used it with a Mac.

I hope you're enjoying your new toy. It definitely seemed like a great device when I got to play with it.

Is it as light as they say it is? Is there a noticeable difference between it and the Xoom?

The white isn't as bad as I thought and if it wasn't for the fact that there is a choice to be had, I'd be happy with it. And yes, the wieght difference between this and the Xoom (which I owned for a week) is huge.

I'm sure you'll get an answer before I'm able to get home and check later this evening. I just set it up to my liking (for the most part) and didn't really get a chance to look at what was preloaded. If no one replies then I'll do so later.
