Got mine from Best Buy!

For those of you looking to do a price match... The employee that helped me with my purchase tried saying that the preorder promotion can't be combined with the price match, not the case. Their price match terms don't state that anywhere. What is stated is that a bundle offer or free item (edit: if another store was doing the $50 gift card then best buy wouldn't match that bundle) can't be matched from another store. If they give you a hard time, just pull up the terms online and nicely ask them to show you where it says the promotions can't be combined. (spoiler alert: they won't find it and you'll get price matched to the $149.99 price before any gift cards)

Also, those wondering about the $100 in gift cards for evo trade ins, yes you should also be getting the $50 gift card for pre-order. If they state otherwise, again, kindly show them the terms online. https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...19.c%3Fid%3Dpcmcat271700050019&token=4T09Odzi

Sent from my EVO 4G LTE... FINALLY!

I'm still waiting on my BB to get their first shipment. The guy I spoke with earlier told me they were expecting them today, but who knows.

I definitively think all those EVO's were pre order. I didn't pre order at that time due to time and I was just giving it a shot to see if I lucked out. I can wait until they are widely available and get one. Hopefully early next week...

Never got any Email with a new release date (after the first THREE). Never got any Email or text saying mine is ready. I called Best Buy when I got home from work. They said they had some phones but my preorder # was not available and couldn't explain any more. All the other posts on this thread seem to say the stores got a single shipment with enough to cover all the preorders for their store. Just not my store?

I am off tomorrow, so I am going to visit after lunch, in person, where they can't so easily dismiss me (and perhaps another day has gone by where they could have gotten more). This has been the worst phone obtaining experience ever. Last year when I went through Best Buy for the Evo 3D preorder, it was wonderful- nice people, efficient, kept informed, on time; this has been the complete opposite so far.

So I drive there at 1:15pm and ask if I can get my [day one] preorder yet. Nope. None with my name on it. She was very nice, though.... She even tried to sell me one of the Evo's they had but it didn't have my name on it and wouldn't let her sell it. Then she checked the back and said all they got in was yesterday, just the six- and those are already assigned to customers. :(

Great experience in Lubbock, TX BB store. Got $280 gift card for Evo 3D buyback, $50 promo gift card and an Otterbox defender case for $14.99 for an hour long process. In the end, Best Buy basically paid me $86 in a gift card to upgrade my phone.

[moment of silence for my last gold premiere upgrade]

A $280 Gift card for your old EVO 3D?

Finally got my BB email. Waiting at the store now. Both guys in front of me are picking theirs up. Good way to start the holiday weekend.

Is the phone you're picking up from their 1st shipment? Or have they received multiple?

Just got off three phone with a corp sprint rep (Matthew). Who said they don't know when they would be getting more phones for sale from HTC. He said right now they do not have any more made available for sale.....I asked how could a phone company set up orders for a new phone and not have enough. The rep replied that they have to depend on the manufacturer and what amount they can produce (phones), and currently they don't(Sprint) have any information on when the next order would be available. I said didn't they anticipate a large amount of customers for this phone. He said "They had the initial pre order"....I don't get it. They went through HTC with previous phones and now they had no idea they might have too order a large number.

Called every local store today, even found one person who actually tried to help. They still received nothing but the 6 from Thursday. They have "no way" to fill my day-one preorder from any other store. They still have two that are not picked up but can't sell to anyone else until tomorrow (and I am sure I won't be up next), MAYBE. They still can't tell me what position I am in line. I expect I will have to wait many additional days now. I am really pissed.

Will never preorder through a Best Buy store again.
