Got My DX Yesterday...

Well it came earlier than it was supposed to but after playing around with it I noticed it had a dark blot on the screen. BS! So that sucks. On another note, I transferred the photos and videos off my 8gb micro sd from my Tour which was about 50 videos and 1100 pictures. It took about 6 minutes to transfer the files off the BB and about 10 hours to put them back on to the DX!!!!! Weird.

Sucks about the screen - call CS and ask for a replacement.

As far as the xfer goes - I'm assuming you transferred off your Tour to your PC - then from your PC to your SD card in your new X.

If so - you were limited by the write speed of your SD card on the transfer to your X. When you transferred them to your PC from your Tour - your hard drive was doing the writing which would go much faster than a SD card.

Ah okay, got it. Also, maybe you could help me with something. I sent my misc sounds over from the Tour to this phone via blue tooth, however, when I go to set the phone ring tone, none o my sounds populate and unlike the BB it wont let me select a file from another destination.

They have to be in a folder on root of sd called ringtones. Same with notifications, and alarms.

For setting the phone ringtone I believe you need to go to music and find the file there, press menu and go from there. For notification sounds there is an app, called Ringdroid.
