Got my LG V30 today at AT&T store

V30

Wow the LG V30 looks even better in a natural setting like that haha. Renders don't do it justice, and as pretty as the professional pictures are, there's nothing like seeing a phone in a natural setting or holding it yourself.
I can't wait for mine to get here on Monday. T-Mobile screwed me over by taking ages to process my purchase but they refunded me for the full cost of the shipping so I guess I'll wait two more days and accept free shipping, haha. I've been on the fence for a while about using an Android as a daily driver again, but the LG V30 is exciting for me.

You didn't like the note 8?

I liked it, just it's so tall and unweildy that I feel like I was intimidated to use it to communicate more often. The v30 just seems like the right weight and size to just USE the phone easily without it feeling like a chore to use. Ever have a device you just like to hold and use? That's the v30!

That's good to hear. I've always preferred larger screens over better ergonomics but it looks like the V30 is the best of both worlds. Bigger than the G6 but easier to hold.

My local AT&T store where I got my V10 and V20 had no display model. I'm selling my V20 before I buy the V30 so I can get some money back to pay it off.

Technically you can't sell it till it's paid off. It's in Ebay and Swappa terms of agreement.

Note 8 definitely is taking a better outside picture. You can see the wall material and color behind the bushes on it and not the V30.

Slight difference in where you choose to focus can really change those lighting aspects. Just looks like the v30 is taking in too much light in that area of the shot. Have no doubt it can get that same detail if you consider that part when taking the shot.

Much prettier than V20 but lacks the features that drew me to LG. No interest.

Nevertheless, sell it I will just like I did with my V10 which I then used the money toward paying it off and then getting my V20.

Exactly. Could simply be a focus difference, even a slight change. Even a change in cloud cover can cause a saturation issue like thay, especially one taken so close to the subject matter.

To me, they're so close, I have to settle for them both, lol. I sport the note 8 as my primary work line, and the v30 as my 2nd personal line.

I'm not much of a photographer, so the cameras are so close it really doesn't matter to me. I am extremely in love with the look and feel of both the Note 8 and v30, over their predecessors!

I currently have these two, along with the v20, v10, iPhone 7 plus, Note 5, and the s8 plus, love them all, each for different reasons! LOL

Dude! You have a problem! I'm not saying it's a bad problem, just a problem. :p :D

I have the Black V30, found it at an authorized retailer store the next town over. I checked every store in the area (Tulsa), corporate and authorized, and no one had Black except one store. I was fortunate to grab it 10 mins before closing time Saturday. I absolutely love this phone. It is the perfect weight and size. I have a Pixel XL, Note 8, S8+, OnePlus 5, Mate 9, and iPhone 8Plus. This will become my daily driver. I really like the overlay LG uses. I would prefer a little closer to stock, but its not near as bad as Samsung. It has a few minor scrolling lag issues, but I bet that will get addressed in a future update. All in all, I am happy with it. Time to sell some no longer used phones.
