Can this be worn while you are washing dishes and your hands and such or do I need to take it off?

Thanks

If it was, it should say so on the backplate of the watch. If it doesn't say it's water-proof or water resistant, I'd rather not get it wet.

That being said, supposedly, it's IP55-Compliant, so this is what it SHOULD withstand:
5 Water jets Water projected by a nozzle (6.3 mm) against enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects. Test duration: at least 15 minutes
Water volume: 12.5 litres per minute
Pressure: 30 kPa at distance of 3 m

i don't take mine off to wash my hands or while doing dishes, etc, but i certainly don't submerge it. i assume splashes can be wiped off, but swimming is a chance i don't want to take :)

I would say this. To wash dishes, I think you ok, I wouldn't submerge it. Also, if you doing dishes for a job, like all day, I would take it off.. When I wash my bicycle, and motorcycle, I take it off.. I think it is water resistant, and to be on the safe side, I wouldn't push it..

I hand wash my clothes and take the Gear off for this. I leave it on when I'm washing my hands.

Same here on washing hands.. But, NO showers.. :D : D

I have been out in the rain, it has gotten wet, and water resistant takes care of that.. No submerging though, I think we all know that...It is not water proof.. It is water resistant, which all watches are unless otherwise noted.. Reasonable care!!
