Got the ota 4.1.1!!

I keep getting told to check my internet connection whenever I try to check for updates. All other internet related stuff works great. :(

Did you try and reboot? Did you try the DMClient stuff mentioned in this thread?

I have rebooted several tries, turned the wifi on and off several times and have cleared the cache for the DMClient stuff a couple times now. Just keep getting "Failed to connect to the internet. Please check your Internet Connection." After it tries for a little bit. I haven't had this issue on any past updates.

Did you do the DMClient thing exactly as I said? Force stop, clear cache/data, reboot? If that still doesn't work, I'd call Asus. Their CSRs are good.

Where exactly is the instructions? Sorry im new and i keep getting the no internet connection thing. Thanks in advance.

Same for me- no internet connection error. This is the 2nd error message of the day. everyone knows about the earlier error messages people were getting.

I don't think what I posted will work, but, it's worth a shot. Scroll up for DMClient stuff I mentioned. Like I said, probably won't work.

Try switching WiFi networks. I was on one during the day, it didn't work, nothing happened, I went home and connected and update downloaded immediately.

Same thing happened with me. The update didn't like the network I was on. However, it worked fine when I got home and connected to my house wifi.

On another note, I'm glad to see that they integrated an out of office assistant in the exchange email client.

I'm lovin' it so far. Very smooth, as advertised, everything seems to be working quite well. Google Now seems like a nice feature. I'll run for a while with it and see how it behaves.

I still can't get the update. I've done the DMClient stuff and I just keep getting different messages. The latest one is the notification that there is an update and to look at the notification bar with a gray "Check Update" button. I'm leaving it alone to see if it somehow downloads in the background and shows up.

PS: I've sent a message to Gary from ASUS to see if he can give a reason for this issue (i.e., servers are overloaded). If I get a reply, I'll post it.

Thats got nothing to do with the os and everything to do with the shoddy hardware in the transformer. My galaxy nexus is many times faster than the prime in doing everything (except for games) and it is on significantly lesser hardware. Unfortunately the prime has very slow internal storage so slow that android keeps thinking that applications are crashing due to them not responding all of the time (android not responding popups). Theres only so much you can do in software to correct this.

Got JB last nite. Install uneventful. I did no prep so I lost root. Oopsie
Havent had any issues but I dont see much improvement either, not that i had things thaat were bad before.

But so far Im not seeing what all the fuss was abou.

So I finally got my tablet to recognize that there is an update and for it to download, but when it restarts to install I get the attached half way through the install. 2012-09-27 21.47.30.jpg

That's weird Trek, you and I were both stuck there yesterday morning, but, I was only stuck there for about an hour and the download started for me. So bizarre. At this point I can't imagine it being that their servers are too busy.

If you hear back from Gary, let us know.

So, you are stuck now? You can't get off that screen, and, you can't boot? Factory reset and try again maybe?

I agree. I can't imagine it's the servers. I'm still having the same errors and have been on 3 different wifi networks. Frustrating!!! Didn't have any issues updating to ICS when i bought the Prime back in January and shouldn't have them now. Is there a link anywhere via Asus to download the file manually?

Off Topic: Wait...is that a real error screen? I have never seen it. That looks like Android engineers have a pretty good sense of humor.
On Topic: I am sorry for your issues though.

Yes it is and apparently over on XDA, there are tons of people that are getting this... [How-To] Update to Jellybean if you're having problems with OTA - xda-developers

No, it eventually goes away and will boot back up and tell you that it failed and restored the system to the last running version (ICS).

Gotcha. Well, I guess if there are a ton of people experiencing it, Asus probably knows and will hopefully issue a fix.

Unfortunately, I think people with unlocked boot loaders are not getting the OTA update.

Guess it is a custom ROM for me.

The grayed out button and "Check your notifs" Meant for me that I needed to switch wifi(it didn't like the one I was on)
