Got the ota 4.1.1!!

It's silly for one wifi network to work and not another one. It seems to me this would be an issue on the Asus side with something they have specified in their whatever you would call it. As long as my Prime can connect to the internet and everything else internet related is working then there shouldn't be hold ups like this. I guarantee you that the people having these issues including me wouldn't have ANY troubles if we were on the Asus site shelling out big bucks for one of their products. Bet there would no errors with that. Pissed at this point.

Just posted and it didn't show up in the thread. I guarantee that any of us having these error messages or problems with the JB OTA could get online and whip out the plastic to buy an Asus product and we wouldn't have any error messages with that. It sucks having had the life sucking wait for this update to only have problems downloading and or installing it. One wifi network should be as good as the other. Beyond frustrated at this point. I'm pissed.

Silly, but, still possible.

Have you called them to let them know how upset you are? Their CSRs are good, at least the three times I've talked to them.

Just spoke with them. They are recommending a factory data reset then try again. If the problem persists they say it's gonna have to be shipped back to them so their technicians can look into it. They gave me a service # in case the reset doesn't work so that i can call back and go from there. I'll let you know this turns out.

OK I have Jellybean. Once i did a factory data reset, I still ran into errors saying the file download had failed but it turned out to be a wifi signal issue. I only get about 70% signal from the router in the room I'm in. I went into the room the router is in and once I achieved 100% signal from the router the download started immediately. It runs smooth right out of the gate. Not pissed anymore but 70% signal should have been plenty and Asus needs to addresses this on their end.

Can someone answer a quick question?

I am running stock ICS. If I upgrade to JB, will I be able to sideload Flash and continue to use it in Dolphin and/or the stock browser?

Thanks in advance.

Yup, just grab the apk, install, and you're good to go.

Edit: actually, since you already have the flash apk installed, you should be set out of the gate.

I successfully downloaded and installed the update.

After having played with it for about 15 minutes, I can definitely tell a marked improvement in speed and lag. It's much, much better now. Time will tell if it remains this way, but for the time being I am very pleased.

Lol, lag is the opposite of speed. If you don't have speed, than you have lag. A marked improvement in speed and lag means its faster but its slower ;)

What I meant was the speed is better. The lag is not as pronounced.

Sheesh!
