An exclamation point alongside your wifi icon just means you currently have no wifi connection. I'm seeing that right now myself because I'm trapped in the basement of a building that has no wifi setup at all. The ! will probably (knock on wood) go away as soon as you're in range of a decent wifi signal again.But anyway it's the dreaded WiFi with the exclamation point...

An exclamation point alongside your wifi icon just means you currently have no wifi connection. I'm seeing that right now myself because I'm trapped in the basement of a building that has no wifi setup at all. The ! will probably (knock on wood) go away as soon as you're in range of a decent wifi signal again.
The "dreaded" exclamation point is the one that people have been seeing alongside their celluar data icons. Those are the ones that have been driving people nuts on XDA and Google Products pages.
