I am almost 100% sure that it is glass. I played with an Incredible the other day, and that thing definitely had a glass screen, so I don't see why HTC should change its ways and make that one plastic. Also, I did read on assorted spec sheets for the Evo that the screen was glass.

Even better question how long before the kick stand gets loose or breaks off? Hopefully they thought it out well before they did it.

it will get loose or break off 2 days after your warranty is up, that depends on if you get the sprint insurance on it or not , to be honest, we dont know until it happends

It seems like it's aluminum but I can't say for sure. It's pretty strong.

Even better question how long before the kick stand gets loose or breaks off? Hopefully they thought it out well before they did it.

It's really sturdy. I tried moving it around and getting some play out of it and I didn't. I don't think it will be an issue.
