GPM question

So, I just switched over my Amazon Alexa products to Google Home (2) and the Lenovo smart display for the kitchen. Love the products and Google Assistant, hence the switch. Anyway on to my question. I say "Hey Google, play whatever song title I want it to play". It plays the song and instead of stopping after that song is played, it continues with random songs.

Is that the norm? Alexa would just play the song requested and stop. Don't know if it's a auto play feature with GPM I can turn off or of its creating a radio station based off the song I asked it to play. Can anyone offer some assistance or clarification. Thanks.

I think that's how it does it because it does the same thing on Spotify (haven't tested an Echo product on that, though). I know Spotify does have an option to keep playing similar music, but I thought that only worked for the app. I'll try to test out tonight.

Okay, not a super big deal but at least I know I'm not driving myself crazy trying to figure out if it can be fixed.
