GPS Issue Figured Out - Must Read!!

I don't know know about you, but I don't have WiFi in my car. I need my GPS most in my car.
Don't worry. Prolly all the cars will have WiFi in the next year! Prolly satellite WiFi! At the rate our society is becoming Internet defendant, it won't be long! :)

Of course, you'll have to trade in your bottom-of-the-line Ford Focus B (basic) for the new top-of-the-line Ford Focus XT-GT-SE-WiFi! :D

EXACTLY Mike.
Have had my Tbolt for a couple weeks. Love the 4G, great screen, but one of the main things I have an Android phone is for Google Maps and Navigation. I consider this to be an important basic Android feature, one that I use almost everyday. A top tier phone (with a top tier price tag ) should have never been released with this major flaw. My old Motorola D2 used to have me within 10 meters from my location. My location is now 1700 meters off! Over 1.5 kilometers. That is unacceptable. If this is not fixed soon, this will be my last HTC ever.

Totally agree. Mine is way off most of the time. They need to get this fixed.

That's what I was afraid of. I really like my 1969 Firebird
and I don't want a 2015 Ford.

Cleared the cache and went from almost several minutes for GPS sync to instant.

Rooted stock no update.

Download "GPS Test" from Market, start the app and go to the setting. First click "Clear AGPS" and then click "Update AGPS". Do this outside where you can get GPS signals. After this it may take 1-2 minutes to show the current location for the first time, but after that you will get it within 5 seconds and accuracy is 5-10 meters. I always leave GPS on. BTW, I live in Manhattan, NYC.
