GPS Issue. Hardware?

Hi all,

I have a new N7, and while out doing some observing of the night sky with some other astronomy enthusiasts, I took out my tablet and launched first "Star Chart" and then "Google Sky". The first thing I noticed was that neither displayed the proper constellations on the screen no matter what I did or where I pointed. This evening I ran "GPS Test" and North and South are essentially reversed. Terrestrial navigation is unaffected, but this issue has me greatly concerned as I do public outreach in Astronomy and these apps are great teaching aids, and I have a couple of other apps that rely on proper orientation for their functionality. I've tried moving the tablet in a figure-8 pattern to calibrate it, but to no effect.

Hardware? Software? Suggestions? Return for exchange?

Hmmmm....A setting called "Reverse Portrait" on GPS Test" flipped it with North at least pointing in the general direction of North, though not very accurately, and I played with some settings on the star chart apps. Might be an id10-t error. We'll see when I test it out.

All's well. Definitely a problem with the biological interface. Turning on GPS settings on the Astronomy apps made everything right in the universe again. Maybe I should RTFM, or at least carefully check my settings. LOL
