So I came from a LG V40 to the OnePlus 7T about 3 weeks ago. The only real problem I have had an issue with is the GPS. It takes awhile to find your exact location and even after that is doesn't hold the location very good. It isn't off by miles or anything like that but it is regularly off by a street or two. I had no issues at all with GPS on my LG.

By the way just as a FYI, the phone works great on Visible. I use between 70 to 90 gigs of data a month, a lot of that is while using hotspot. So I am a heavy user. With myself, my wife, and my son my bill is only $30 a month per line for unlimited everything.

Interesting about the GPS accuracy. I'm thinking about upgrading from a V40 to the McLaren edition 7T Pro. What is your opinion on the sound quality of the OnePlus vs the V40?

Just going by the speakers on the phone I would say a little louder for the 1+. Mainly because it has two speakers and one is facing foward. As far as sound the LG has a little better bass notes when you sit it down on a flat surface, but not enough to make it change my mind. As far as headphones I use bluetooth, even with the LG which has a jack, so I can't tell any defference. But the LG has the very good Dac and headphone jack so if that is important to you it will make a defference.

So far besides the GPS I have had no real problems. I like the feel of the 1+ in the hand much better, itis not as slippery and the width on the 1+ is less so it feels better in the hand. Took a minute getting us to the finger print reader on the front of the phone but it is no issue. I like the fact that the 1+ comes with Android 10 and will get faster updates. Also I haven't had to use Nova Laucher , I have just been using the 1+ OS and it works great, including the gestures (have turned off the buttons). And probaly the best is no Google Assistaint button on the 1+. I hit that thing a lot on accident with the LG.

The cameras on the 1+ are just as good if not a little better, and editing in the camera app is better then the LG. And as far as the screen only being 1080p I haven't noticed. I have noticed that the 1+ screen is brighter and easier to see in daylight.

And the battery on the 1+ is better the the V40. Even better then when the V40 was new and much better then my year old V40. And with the charger that comes with the 1+ charging so fast I have not missed wireless charging at all.

Anyway I am very happy with the phone and for $600 I think it is hard to beat. I know you mentioned the 7T Pro so it is a little higher priced etc... but you get more phone too.
