Gps questions

What is "standalone Gps service "? Verses.. Verizon location services??
I had to check standalone service to get navigation to work for some directions the other day. But now it stays on all the time, unless I go back and uncheck it.

Standalone GPS is the most accurate... it uses the satellites. It will stay on as long as you leave it on. There are two widget you can put on one your screens... either the Toggle: GPS or the Toggle: Power control widget.
