GPS stopped working

I had the security update yesterday and now my GPS has stopped working on my Note 8. Google maps works - but I think this is using the improve accuracy to work. Locus maps, OSMAnd and any GPS tester reports 0 satellites.

I've hard reset and loaded the software with the same issue. It could just be a coincidence that the GPS broke after the update of course.

Anyone else had any issue?

Try installing GPS Status & Toolbox and see what you get.

If you still don't get a fix after 30 seconds or so, you can try a trick that used to work on Samsungs, but may not any longer (it won't break anything, it just won't fix anything):

• Open the Phone, as if you were going to make a phone call and dial *#9090# -- Diagnostic Configuration (*#197328640# if that doesn't work)
• Menu, select Key Input, enter Q
• Menu, select Key Input, enter 0000
• Wait for the next menu. (It takes a while.)
• UMTS->COMMON->NV REBUILD->NV REBUILD->SYSTEM->PROTOCOL->GPS->IMS or, if you don't have UMTS: UE SETTINGS & INFO->SETTING->SYSTEM->NV REBUILD->ALL
• Restart the phone.
