Gray signal bars with BB

Ever since I flashed bugless beast my signal bars have been gray the whole time. My data connection has seemed ok, should I care? Is this normal for BB?

I had another problem where I got an error when trying to download from the market. I forced stopped google services framework and cleared it's data and both problems went away.

Sounds like GAPPS didn't take or were not flashed causing a connection problem. Try flashing (re-flashing) gapps and see if that helps any.
