Recently I got the 6.0 Marshmellow update from Verizon. There wasn't much of an improvement over 5.1.1 in terms of battery, but anyway, I noticed that the power saving mode in the setting menu has less customizable options, which is another downside to this update. It still restricts performance and background applications, however there is no option to turn on the grayscale mode which I always liked to do. I can't even find it in the acessibility menu! I understand it still has grayscale in ultra power saving mode, but thats not what im looking for here.
Does anyone know what happened to this mode, and if Samsung really took this out, is there any good, compatible, and optimized solutions to getting it back? Thanks.

I thought greyscale was the ultra power saving. I've never seen what else you're referg too.

No, grayscale was always an option for normal power saving mode. Idk if 4.4.4 kitkat had it since I got my Note 4 after the update, I know both lolipop versions had it though.

I can confirm that grayscale is available in Kitkat in normal power savings mode. My phone is still on KK.

Okay great, more of a reason for me to consider downgrading to kitkat if marshmellow really does end up sucking.

I never understood taking away features. I like that you can now automatically set an interval of which to automatically turn on Power Saving, but like you, am not pleased that Gray Scale has been stripped away.

I never use UPSM because it's too restricted.

Ah, so it's true, the grayscale mode has been completely stripped away?

You can still put your device in grayscale mode by enabling Developer options and changing the setting in simulate color space to monochromacy

Ah I see, well it's something, but seems slightly inconvenient to have to manually turn it on that menu instead of power saving doing it, but it should do for now. Thanks for telling me this.

Sorry no one responded to your suggestion about color space. I like it, now I'm trying to figure out if I can turn it on and off via an NFC tag...
