Green light next to front facing camera turning on randomly

I've noticed a green light on my flyer right next to the front facing camera turning on and off randomly. Why? I was using yahoo messenger but its pretty obvious when you enable video chat. Should I be worried someone is activating my camera and spying?

Did you Flyer always do this, or was there a "trigger event", like after an update, or a particular app you installed?

I noticed this on my Flyer also, but only once, and only after installing the most recent security update pushed out by HTC.

It's been happening fairly often for the past two or three weeks. I hadn't installed anything new app wise except dropbox although I did receive a security update recently. However the green light has been coming on before any of these events. I have also noticed that even when I'm not running yahoo messenger the light comes on periodically when I'm browsing.

And No my flyer never had this green light going off next to the front cam before. It's only started recently

Noticed this as well, I think after the system update of a few months ago...

Did anyone ever figure out why this happens?
