My Samsung Galaxy S3 was taken out by a "rogue wave". Luckily, someone found it and returned it to me. Amazingly it still works, but SD card slot shorts out the phone, so I have lost that. Also, the volume down does not work now; other than that everything else still works even after being submerged in saltwater. Anyhow, I am looking at possibly getting the G3 @ full price to keep my UDP. I do have a few questions:
1. Does it come with earphones?
2. Has anyone tried an OTG
3. An issues with Bluetooth pairing (I have a Bose Soundlink).
I am very tempted by this phone and most likely will be joining you guys here.
P.S. I thought about waiting for the fall release of phones, but I always want to try out new mfg. , and this is one mfg. I have not had before.
Past Phones:
Blackberry Curve
Droid X
Samsung S3
:)

Welcome.
1 - No headphones with the U.S. G3 versions. :(
2- OTG? Not familiar with that anagram.
3- No Bluetooth issues for me. Aftermarket Pioneer head unit in my car.

Mav.

OTG? Me either.

Bluetooth works fine here. I use the TonePro headset and bluetooth in my car. I do have to open the bluetooth setting to connect the headset, but that could be because I also connect them to my iPad. Car connects just fine every time. No need to do anything.

OTG is a on the go USB adapter for phones. It has the mini USB on one end and a female full sized USB port on the other. I have a few i will give it a try, I know there are ports for it in the software but I will check and see if it works.

UPDATE; as Jaimento said OTG works fine

Had my Verizon G3 since the 17th release and it's awesome. The Bluetooth pairing is fast and easy. Have it paired to my soundstick, Beats Bluetooth headphones and my home av network. As far as charging, it does require the higher voltage chargers above 2.1v so many older micro usb chargers will put it into what the phone calls "slow charge".

Perfect, much appreciated. Thank you all for the feedback. I am more than likely purchasing one. BTW, I have not seen any mention of the glass, is it "Gorilla glass"?

I recommend putting a tempered glass screen protector on it. I put a Verizon one on it simply the best looking and feeling protector I ever had.(I've had a lot)

(Not phone related, but what is the car in your avatar box?)

1. No. Buy a good set of bluetooth or wired. Anything they would include is normally crap.
2. No issues with USB-OTG, it just works.
3. Nope, have it paired with OBD dongles for the car. Paired with the car with no issues.

Welcome to the G3 side Ricky!! You're going to love this device! Make sure you have a font pack ready for us, lol! ;)

Just like you, i went from Droid X (my 1st smartphone) to the S3, and now i have the G3. I have loved all of them, imperfections and hiccups aside. Both previous phones gave me a great 2 years, now I'm excited for the adventure of a new phone! Welcome!
