Howdy. I've been lurking these forums and site for awhile and finally registered. I'm a former webOS guy that held out waiting for HP to give us some love, and well, that didn't happen, so the wife and I went with an iPhone 4. (Mainly just to give it a shot)

Now that Apple produces yet another snoozefest, locked up phone (although, for the masses, they are fine, but I need screen real estate and some options to personalize) we are both jumping ship next month and grabbing Android powered phones. I think that can get me as close to my webOS and enjoy the nice updates that Google had accomplished since my iPhone purchase.

As far as I know, she's going with a Galaxy S3 and I'm going big (literally) and hoping to get a Note2. I'm surprised my iPhone hasn't tried to kill me or the ghost of Mr. Jobs hasn't tried to haunt me as I am typing this from my iPhone.

I'm not here to troll or talk smack, I'm just a disgruntled webOS to iPhone convert that probably just shoulda went to Android power, but I had to see for myself.

That kinda sounded a little crabby. My apologies. I can't wait to cross over to Android power. I've been following the OS quite a bit and have been following this site to keep up with things. I may have a small learning curve switching from iOS to Android, but it shouldn't be that bad. It looks like there is a great group of folks here ready to help. I do enjoy reading the news and the forums.

I jumped ship from the iPhone to the HTC One X. I did not have a lot invested into the apple ecosystem so that made it pretty easy. I had no problems figuring out the android os but HTC's stock sense layout is very simple to use.

Webos looked great, too bad it didn't survive. It seems like hp bought companies then killed it pretty fast. Anyone remember voodoo PC? But I guess I like the looks of the new bbx.

I've had the opportunity to sit down and spend time with several Android powered phones. I don't think it will be to much of an issue. I do have a ton of Apple hardware otherwise, but that is slowly going away as new purchases are finally coming around. From what I gather, DoubleTwist is pretty handy to sync itunes to Android (my buddy has an S3 and it syncs flawlessly), but other than that, i'll switch to whatever OS will do the best for me and if all goes well, Android will become that OS. I really liked webOS, with the cards and how they had the availability of the OS Doctor, so if you bricked your phone (because you knew the contra hack) you could recover it.

I wouldn't mind seeing some more webOS items integrated into Android, but Google has been doing pretty awesome with the latest iterations of Android. The notifications and stuff are way better than iOS. I had to laugh, i actually missed the LED notification from my Pre. Didn't realize how much i'd look at my phone to see if anything popped in (mainly because I have to keep the ringer off for work purposes) when all I had to do is look over and see if the LED was blinking. It's not for everybody though.
