Another note, when my phone detects my wifi it disconnects me from my 3/4g call. Perhaps it can wait until the call ends? Thanks!

I have a big problem. I have installed Groove and it says it is not registered. What is the silotion for this?
I have a few problems with grooveip and my galaxy nexus. Most important is bluetooth doesn't work at all when on calls. The bluetooth mark is green on the app and the devices are paired, but everything still comes out of the phone's speaker. If i try disable the bluetooth mid call, the app crashes everytime and i get a grooveip closing error. I even did a factory reset, redownloaded, and the problem persists.
Other than that I've had tons of problems with the call quality. Just realized there are lots of settings to adjust so will try play around with that before complaining further![]()
Sometime after android 4.0 they started requiring a new permission for bluetooth. We have a new beta on our facebook page that adds that permission. Prior versions, like the market version, won't work with bluetooth on the Galaxy Nexus because we never added that permission.
Also, would suggest trying to change only the mic source first. Try both the Android Default and VoIP settings and let me know which one works best for you, or if it helps at all.
any chance you can help me figure out how to install grooveip....apk from the facebook? i downloaded the file, i also downloaded sdk tools and after connecting my phone by usb and selected usb debugging but when i type adp devices it doesnt list any devices attached.
sorry im a noob android user
I've been trying a few different options since I have been having issues with Groove IP. I had the same issue (clicking noises in the background of the call, and progressively growing latency). I did manage to mostly fix this by switching the sip protocol from tcp to udp. I'm not sure what groove ip is set to (or if you even have a choice), but switching it to udp seems to fix the growing latency issue.
I still get the clicking noises, and short amounts of dropped audio, but the call seems to work reasonably well.
I'm on a Nexus S running ICS.
Hi, I recently got this app for my mom and seem to be having trouble with it. I created a Google Voice account for her, got her a number, verified everything etc, calls work over WiFi, but there is an issue with incoming audio/voice/sound from my moms phone. For instance, from my moms phone, I open the Groove IP dialpad, dial our house number, the phone rings, I pick up and when I talk through both phones, I can only hear voice through our house phone. It's as if the speaker is broken in my moms cellphone and can't get any audio or sound to come through. I've tried different settings but to no avail, no sound comes through.
Now, when I call her Google Voice number through our house phone, her cell phone rings and I answer it and then I am able to hear sound through her cellphone from the house phone. So for some reason when calling FROM the cellphone, TO another phone, there is no audio on the cell phone. But when calling TO the cellphone FROM another phone, audio works and can hear on both ends.
Sorry if this was confusing to anybody. Hope someone can help me out there.
EDIT: Nevermind, it seems ticking the "Synchronize Voice" option made it work. I can now hear on both ends.
I'm having issues with Bluetooth headset. Volume is soft and other end is not hearing me either.
Just launched a new app a few days ago. The app, in conjunction with Google Voice, lets you make unlimited calls to any phone in US or Canada using the data connection of your mobile device without using up any of your mobile minutes.
Requires a free Google Voice account. For more information on Google Voice visit the Google Voice web site at http://www.google.com/voice.
The app is currently listed at $4.99

I should mention that it works on both WiFi or 3G. We're always making updates, so if you have questions, run into problems, or want a new feature added please contact us!
Hello, snrb_labs.
The new version of Google Voice 4.2.44 seems to have broken compatibility with Groove IP 1.2.16. Any chance you're working on an update? Thank you.
Haven't noticed an issue with the new Google Voice app update. GrooVe IP doesn't use the Google Voice app at all. What kind of issue are you running into? Most common thing the Google Voice app does is change your call forwarding settings.
