So I recently upgraded to Jelly Bean from ICS on my Motorola RAZR HD and noticed that I can't use groups as text recipients any more. It was super convenient and handy, and for the life of me can't fathom why that functionality would have been removed. Having groups in my contact list, let alone the whole groups tab, is completely useless now. Am I really the only one who noticed this issue, or is it just a glitch on my specific device? Any and all replies welcome.

It was working on my 4.0.2 stock SMS app. Strongly considering downgrading back to ICS, but that seems like an ordeal.
Strange, because the same thing doesn't work on my sister's phone either, which is a Galaxy Nexus running Jelly Bean and on a different provider.
4.1.1. I'm on 4.1.2. A friend using a custom Jelly Bean ROM said he couldn't do it either.
Verizon says Motorola took the Group Text feature out of Jelly Bean when my Razr Maxx was upgraded. They say I have to use a third party app. Any suggestions?

The same thing happened to me. I used my text groups for my Girl Scout parents - now I'm at a loss. Did you figure anything out on this?
