group messaging help!!!!??!!!

I'm new here sorry if this is not the correct place to ask this question... I'm looking for help. On my nexus 4 I can send a group message no problem but when I receive the responses (texts) to them they do not come back in a group thread but instead as an individual text. Can anyone help me with this? My group messaging is turned on in the messaging settings. I have tried go sms and hancet still same issue. Thank you.
