Group messaging

I have a Droid mini but that forum seems to be dead. Thought I might have more luck here. I am using the stock messaging app and can't seem to get group messaging to work. It's sending a separate message to each individual. I have group messages enabled. Anyone else have this issue?

I never did when I was using the stock app. I switched to using Hangouts for SMS shortly after 4.4 came out and I find it's better for me, particularly for group messaging.

Just to ask the question, the phone is stock running on Verizon, or is it something else?

Hangouts is the only way to fix that issue. That I've found.

Group messaging is working fine on my Maxx on Verizon. Is this a Mini specific issue?

I use Verizon Messages to send group messages. it gives the choice if I want to send it as group or get individual replies.

Verizon Messages is another good option. If Hangouts or that doesn't fix it, then I'd suggest a factory reset and start over.
