GS2 vs GS3 Battery Life

I gave my GS2 with the ICS update to my wife, and I've been comparing the battery life. Even though the Sprint site advertises better battery life with the GS3, I seem to be getting much better life on the GS2 by at least 2 to 1... When my device is turned on, I can watch the battery tick away... when it's sleeping, it seems to do fine, and doesn't wake too much. Anyway, I know it's been said 100 times but is anyone else disappointed?

I really think once Samsung releases a Galaxy phone with a 2 day battery life with normal usage, it will be the kill all device. I just don't understand why they don't get that yet....

i use my s3 a LOT man. i use it instead of a pc (i dont have home broadband) and my average battery life is 14 and a half hours (measured by an app) so im more than happy with that its better than any android ive owned anyway

....remember the screen is the main battery killer and although the diagonal size doesnt seem much bigger than the s2, the surface area is

I used my S2 like my laptop and got really crappy battery life with it, no more than 8 hours if that. I use my S3 just the same and I get anywhere between 12-16 hours of life out of my it. The battery life on this phone is leaps and bounds better than the S2, at least for me. With the update on my S2 which my husband now uses it still gets crappy battery life and he hardly uses his S2.

Battery seems to be going fine for me so far. But I haven't used the s2, so I can't say in that matter. However, how much does your guys battery go down while your asleep? Like if your phone is 100% and u sleep for about 6 hours, what's yours usually when you awake?

think mine would be around 90%. depends on your signal strength though

My sg3 battery life has been way better than the sg2. I probably 20 to 30% better
