GS8 vs LG G6

It will be interesting to see if they sell more S8s then S7s.

The 7 Edge is a beautiful phone no question. But I think it outsold the smaller S7 because people are tired of the smaller screen size and wanted the larger screen and surprised Samsung. solid phone and great battery.

But Samsung has a 'look' that's totally their own and different from Apple so they are going to run with it.

The second reason it sold well... honestly... if you want a flagship android phone and you're only means to pay is through carrier monthly payments then what choices did you have for 2016? And I think Apple coming out with a warmed over iPhone 6 refresh helped them too.

The best evidence sits right in front of you. 2 new "curved" flagships. You really think Samsung would make this move if it meant selling LESS phones?

Re: Gs8 vs lg g6

I really like both both phones, the G6 has the dual camera, a bigger battery, fingerprint sensor in the middle of the phone and not much bloat wear.
The S8 has the SD835 and a slimmer body, the SD835 is a big win.
I would have easily gone for the G6 but the S8 has the SD835 which seems to be the much better and more efficient processor but I want to see how they are both priced before i go either way.
How do you know that the sd835 is way better?

There is no evidence to show that. There is no question they would sell more s8 if some were cheaper flat screen.

Curved screens offer no advantage other than a show offy thing. If you want a show offy thing buy an iPhone. Nobody is impressed by any Android phone.

Note 7 probably made Samsung go for the all curve edge direction. It was agreed by most people to be the best looking phone for Samsung ever (previously) and it could not be achieved with a flat screen. And to fight iPhone, you simply cannot based on purely phone features.

Don't you realize you can look even more cool if the rest of us can buy a dull flat screen?
