I'm also in the US, running on ATT, but I'm not getting any updates. What firmware version are you using?

Tried all that. Thought this user (TeamPlaya) might have firmware that would work on mine.

Just checked Kies. It says I have latest firmware...

baseband should end in H1 now mate and the build is different from mine. maybe thats a US thing but i thought all the GTs should be runnin same firmware?

Bought this in the US, but it has South Africa (XFE) firmware. Might change it to UK (BTU) firmware if JB doesn't show up.

I did get LTE. But it was nowhere near as strong as id hope for. Max i would get was 12mbps down and on hspa+ i get around 6-8mbps.. it doesnt really make a difference. It still loads everything just as fast as if i were on LTE.

Hardware perfomance wise, ive really noticed a difference. Its much smoother, this phone has sort of a cool swag about it lol. Its like the older wiser version of the s3. I absolutely love it, i clearly see a difference and ive only had it for a day. Also it runs a lot cooler, my other s3 would get very hot on the bottom.. this one after playing around with it the whole day has yet to get hot. Impressive

Furthermore, another big upside is the high resale value as i live in an area where sim free phones are expensive so its another plus so when its time to upgrade for the s4 i can resale it since i dont pay for my cell phone my company does but the only catch is that i cant upgrade (gotta buy all phones at full retail value)

The LTE area I'm in is very good. My average speed is 30mbps download 12 or 13mbps up. The fastest speed I've had so far is 52mbps down. By the way how do you get the GT-I9300 version? I'm assuming that is the international version of the Galaxy S III.

I need what you guys have, but the LTE on the I747 is so fast. But if I keep this phone, it looks like I'll be waiting a while for updates.

I have the interational version and the net speed is pretty Fast. I get 10mbit/s in my area. And I bet the lte drains the battery faster . And with 2gb traffic limits, what is the point of lte?
