gTasks kills my battery

If I am in gTasks when I turn off my phone the battery seems to really get sucked down. I don't think gTasks auto syncs or anything, so I don't get why this seems to happen. I don't see any real settings to change in the app.

Does anyone else see this problem?

Mine died overnight, which was a real shock since it's been lasting for days lately. The only thing I could see different is that I switched to Chomp for texting, and it uses Google Talk or G talk or something...seems odd that that would burn it out overnight. But something did.
