[GUIDE][8/1] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Re: [GUIDE][7/24] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

D'oh... So, now every bootanimation.zip I put into system/media doesn't seem to work; my phone always has the "android" boot animation, no matter which zip file I placed in the folder (even ones I know for a fact worked before, like the stock JB one). I guess I must've "broke" it somehow. :/

Put it in data/local. Try that.

Try re flashing your rom too?

Eh, I'll have to wait until Monday, because I have to work all weekend.

Looks like Liquid released their JB ROM. Getting good feedback it seems to. I'm just not sure that it sounds that much different than Preview 4 from AOKP though.

There's so much truth in this statement :).

Funny how they shoved that out right after all the finishing touches were committed to AOKP's git... Le sighhh

:)

Hm, Trinity on AOKP Preview 6 won't go into deep sleep. Eff. Tried several reboots with no luck.

Edit: didn't see 4.0 was out

Anyone having random reboots when running Jelly Bell 3.9.1 ? I get about 3-4 reboots a day

Had you been DFing up to that point? I didn't have reboots on 3.9.1 but it started getting sludgy, so I just wiped everything and installed AOKP.

flashed jelly bell 4.1 and the gapps. but still no g-apps on my device and i have to go and manually choose every single app to install.. gets old.

anyone have these issues...

does bugless beast have restore working and auto install your previous apps from the play store working?

Try aokp. Auto restore worked for me.

Yup, was solid until he "fixed" something. 4 is out might be different but I would try AOKP if you want a daily driver.

Went bugleas beast... seems solid.
JellyBelly was solid until about 3.8 and I started to see some lag. And I tried jelly belly 3.9,4.0,4.1 and they all have some lag still and have WiFi issues still.

You should try AOKP. More solid than any JB Roms that I've tried. Will be rocking it as a DD for a while.

Kanged CM10 VS AOKP

Are these both the same build? What advantage does one have over the other?

(Yes I could flash both and see for myself but I'm looking for what the general census is here)

FINALLY made the switch to AOKP from Jelly Bro CM10 today. The only difference I have found so far was CM10 had the lockscreen shortcuts and AOKP does not yet. AOKP has navigation bar mods and Jelly Bro did not. I pretty much had AOKP the whole time when I was running ICS.

looks like Codename Android has released a Jellybean ROM a few hours ago.
[ROM][4.1.1][AOSP] Codename Android 3.0.0 [07/31/2012] - [VZW] Galaxy Nexus Development - RootzWiki

Downloading now.

Interesting. I wonder how this will be received.

This finalizes it.. The Android gods have chosen today to see how much they can keep throwing at me and for how long I'll bite my tongue and remain civil...
