[GUIDE][8/1] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Re: [GUIDE][6/28] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Did they recommend the fix?

I dunno but everything works now. I don't know what made it work: if it's because I installed the fix or I reset my router. It's either one of the two or both.

And you have WiFi?

Yes, wifi is working again. Didnt work the first time on the sign-up page when I loaded Axiom Flow in the beginning.

OK, very interested in getting JB, but reading all the post I see a lot of issues.
1- does it have to do with the ROM themselves or people taking "short" cuts to installation.
(since I am some what of a noobie should I want for more stable ROMS?)
2- with ICS I went from Liquid to AOKP, will AOKP have one?
3- do the new ROMS have the SU file built in or a separate file, i would have to guess a new SU since a new OS.
4- do you still have to install the GAPPS file?
5- this a list of what JB offers over ICS?
Thanks to all of you for all the work and crazy hours you keep to flash and keep us in the loop.

Time to make the donuts lol!

So what's the story with restoring from backups? Tried to restore user app data via app extractor but it hangs

I'm running vicious v2 with no problems. It has GAPPS, Franco kernel, and SU incorporated into the Rom.

Aokp will have one in time, they are wrapping up ICS with another milestone first

I'm sitting in orientation so can't dip into the rest of the questions at the moment :-(

Su is not included as this was a port from a stock ROM. Just download it from play store. GAPPs are baked in. It seems that jb runs smoother, better wallpapers lol. This is pretty stable for a port

Notification window options are not fully working.... Lil buggy... can't respond to call or text someone from this window... only option is to click it, which takes you directly to appropriate app.

So was the Axiom_Flow worth the hype? Havn't flashed this yet, your thoughts?

No. Absolutely hold off. If you have TWRP, don't bother.

Unbricking my device for the second time in 7 hours.

Ouch, hate to hear that. I'll be waiting until a very stable rom is out I believe. Really wanted to try JB for the voice feature and Google Cards or whatever it's called but I can be patient.

JD's Jelly Bean worked out for me, I only flashed it to check out the voice and cards too, wifi worked but I only had it on for 5 or 10 minutes so I can't vouch for 3g and making calls.

So far this is the only unstable one I've come across.

Re: [GUIDE][6/28] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Flow didn't softbrick me but it was super wonky after half an hour. Restored.

Get something stabler today I hope :)

Re: [GUIDE][6/28] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Yeah. I decided to hold of flashing it. Now I'm glad I did. I'll wait a few days and see what people cook up.

Re: [GUIDE][6/28] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

I think I might wait for a bit now, too. I'm going out of town next week and I'm going to need something stable (no computer with me). Might make the AOKP move once they get the official Google release and make their first stab at a JB-version.

What's your recovery? Doing a quick scan of the HIVE shows that this thing absolutely detests TWRP for some reason. Going straight stock JB. Apparently the stock kernel is faster than franco (at least in every thread complaining about kernels), so I'm going to ride that train.
