[GUIDE][8/1] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

I'm still on Vicious V1 flashed yesterday morning and it's been stable as hell, specially with francos 207 kernel. No issues at all :)

Yeah I'm reverting to Vicious V2 with stock kernel. Screw this guys :P.

Also not touching TWRP until I pay a gypsy to uncurse it.

About to DL and flash Vicious V2. Is there one DL, or do I need to DL the ROM, then DL the stock kernel? If so, when in CW, flash ROM, then flash separate stock kernel, in that order?

lol I'm literally doing that as we speak.

Go to the link, download V2, and if you want, the stock kernel. And then yes, do that. Make sure to format /system as well.

Curiously, every thread that I've seen says that the stock kernel is faster. I've had a few people tell me that directly as well.

Only one way to find out, right? :)

format/system. When? 1st? Before wipe? After? Between dalvik and cache?

Re: [GUIDE][6/28] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Hm. I think I'm going to keep holding out. Still don't think I can go without the extra features of custom ROMs, and I'm skeptical of the issues some people may or may not be having. It's just getting a little too confusing for me, and I'm probably better off just waiting for something more stable. @_@

Also, it'll reboot--but it'll hang onto Google like Google is its mother. Just sit tight.

So who wants to explain how to get rid of T-CDMA 64? I refuse to have VERIZON there too :).

as has been drilled into me by dmm and 2def:

wipe cache/dalvik
nandroid
wipe data/factory reset
wipe /system
flash
enjoy

Atta boy ;)

I read a couple ppl did it with jrummys toolbox. As long as the rom is deodexed that should work fine I'd say.
