[GUIDE][8/1] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Re: [GUIDE][7/1] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Does it have to do with the SupeSU cause mine won/t update.

Appears to be two issues: GPS and SU. What specifically with the SU (past no permissions), I have no idea.

The one thing about Jake's ROM is that he is quick to fix the update. I'm sure there will be a fix later today.

Already being uploaded, supposedly. Going on IRC now.

Edit: I see you're in there as well, Seiga lol

Go into settings, input, keyboard, advanced, and turn off next word prediction and you get back the punctuation bar at the top. I use commas like a mfer. :)
Awesome! Just what the doctor ordered. I was poking around in that menu, but didn't see it. Thank you.

BTW, when 2.1 uploads, do not flash the 7/4 GAPPs. It appears that might be the "root" of some issues.

Showed it off today and my wife and she got jealous, is JB just for newer phones?

Jelly Bean is not even finalized yet, so it hasn't been open sourced. We're all using ports of the developer preview from the GSM version of the Galaxy Nexus. As of now, if you don't have a Galaxy Nexus, then you're pretty much out of luck. Everyone else will have to wait a while until after it has been open sourced. Even then, the Nexus phones will be getting Jelly Bean first.

Yup. Although I know of someone with a Nexus S that has it...still, since these ports were made from nandroids we have the only phone with the ability to have a relatively "stable" build.

So we should be ok to flash away and not lose root. ?

I have root right now, so yes lol

Also, if you download to your phone it'll be a weird file name. Download to the computer and you'll be fine. If the DL is slow, check the RW thread for mirrors!
