Re: [GUIDE][7/12] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Meh, it's the weekend. :)

Someone let me know if BB updates; I'll be out tonight so I may do the adventurous bar flash.

OK guys here's a strange problem I am having with charging phone. Have jb 3.3 and stock kernel. At home USB cable stock charger and car charger all will charge my phone. Left home today and just checked in to a hotel, I have a spare lg charger and it won't charge the phone I tried the charger in wife's phone its works on hers but her charger does not work for me, won't charge and she has a moto branded phone and charger. I checked and the car charger charges the phone. What gives never had this issue with ICS and custom roms and the same spare charger.
Thanks
Xanth

The big one is the inability to see and connect to a 5ghz wireless network.

Nope. Mine locks up pretty quick. Accuracy isn't all that great at times though. I've been off anywhere from 30-300 feet today, more often on the high side of that.

Edit: LOL, go figure, right now it shows me about dead nuts in my chair in my office at home. Can't be more than five feet off, and took about five seconds to lock.

No issues here, in fact I have practically instant lock outside. And maybe 2-5sec. to lock indoors.

New BB is up

Edit: Per Pete's twitter page this build fixes the WiFi issue

Today I deleted my ics (aokp) nandroid. I've decided jb is super solid and will not be going back. It's superior in every way.
It's funny, owners of every other top phone are so happy being on ics, while us guys be rocking jelly. Ics is so lame. Lol :D

Kinda have an "Off Question" for the pro's out there... So mod's, if this is not in the right area, please move it as you see fit.... thank you...

I'm having difficulty finding that Path Locations for some of the applications. Here is what I'm trying to do and I'm not sure if it can be done or not..

On all of my Servers, or Workstations and now my phone, I create a folder thats called "RICK". And in that folder I put all of my "End User Data" such as Ringtones, TiBu files, Pictures, etc.. that way if I ever have a problem or need to backup or restore or even look for files, I only have to look in one folder, the "RICK" Folder...and for that matter, I only care to copy off that one folder from the phone to the PC if needed.

My long winded question is this... Using the default Camera as an example... the default folder for the camera is... \DCIM What I'm trying to do (if I can) is have the default folder location set to \RICK\DCIM that way its under my Primary Folder... and the same would go for Downloads and a few others...

Does anyone know, if that can be changed and if so, where...?

Thanks....

It can't be changed easily, meaning if it can even be done it would probably involve decompiling the apk and editing some xml.. All fun stuff, lol. At least that's afaik.

Yeah that's what I figured... Maybe I can write a script to copy the files instead.. Or even if it's worth it... Thanks for the reply back...

is the car charger stock as well? when i got my gnex, i had a generic micro usb charger that would absolutely not charge my phone, but worked with all other phones. i compared the generic vs OEM, and i saw that the connector tip on the generic was 1mm or so too long, so there was no connection i guess.

at home, i use my kindle charger because the cable is longer, and it works fine.

dont really have a solution for you. not sure if the ROM could impact charging like that.
