[Guide] How To Root Samsung Transform Ultra

I have tried this numerous times, but no matter what it doesn't root my phone. I definitely followed the instructions and did everything it said to.but my root explorer refuses to acknowledge my root (if it even worked) Android version is 2.3.6 and I could really use your help here.

This is the only method to root this phone and has been used by hundreds if not thousands of ppl.

The only way you are not rooted is if you accidentally let the phone reboot into android recovery before getting into CWM recovery to flash the tu_root.zip

I should also add, if you for some reason you miss getting into CWM recovery, let go of the power button to late or just turn the device on, Android will over write CWM with its own recovery. In that case, you will not have root and have to do the process over again.

I am sure that I did everything right... I made sure to do exactly as the instructions told me and at the end i got to clockwork mod recovery. I chose the root zip to use and it said rooted. even gave me the superuser app. The problem is it gave me the app and not the ability to use it. I know I'm not rooted because when I go into "Game Guardian" it gives the error that the device isn't rooted. I know this is fault on my part, but I just cant seem to get it right.

OK. Not sure what's going then. If you go into recovery right now, how many options do you have? If you have 10 options in recovery then you most definitely are rooted. Are any apps asking for superuser permissions?

When I go into recovery it is CWM recovery and I get a total of 10 options, including go back. no app is asking for its permission so ill go check for that. I have checked the apps and the thing and its not letting me allow things superuser access. (I have it set to auto allow)and I cant access wireless tether.

Flash the superuser.zip I provided in above post somewhere.
Allowing root access DOES NOT allow you to use tethering. It only allows you to have access to your root files. That's all it does.

That superuser file was exactly what I needed! Thank you for the help! I must have missed that post when I was reading through the thread.

I have noticed sometimes ppl get the superuser app and some don't. But I do believe yours is the first I have heard of having the app but it not allowing access. I will have to check it out.

Glad it is working for you now.

Help! I did all the steps so far but when I hit start on the program it says please connect phones! My phone is connected. am I doing something wrong?

Maybe try a different port. Have you updated your Samsung drivers? When you connect device to computer, does the PC recognize your device, without running Odin?

The whole process, less then five minutes if you read the op first several times. Just so you have an idea of what comes next and what you will see while doing it.

Hello :)

I tried to follow the instructions to root my Phone (M930) and when I start Odin it doesn't show the phone in the COM Port Mapping. Any ideas?
