Are you copying and pasting the key? You might be confusing "l" and "1"

guys the copy and paste with Ctrl V wont work. you have to click the cmd icon on the top left then click edit then click paste

Hello just wanted to say thanks. The video was a big help this was the first phone that I rooted on my own it was fun. Any suggestions on rom's I would like to get rid of the bloat.

So I got it all done (I believe) and am at step 10, I clicked recovery and it restarted, its been at the HTC Boot screen for about 10 minutes now, is this normal?

I have tried three times - twice with fastboot off and usb debugging on and once with both on - and all I get is "Zerging Root... this might take a minute or so..." and it stays locked on that screen. The first time I tried it eventually told me "failed to achieve root " Someone please help

What did you do to get it to work? I have the same Rom version and it won't work for me.

Fastboot needs to be off, debugging on. Do you have htc sync installed? If so it needs to be uninstalled. Make sure your phone is set to charge only as well. If all of that is done and your still having issues, when it gets stuck on Zerging Root try unplugging your phone and reconnecting it. I had to do that once and it pushed past that point and completed.

I've rooted 6 tbolts now and 4 of the 6 once the process was complete it failed at flashing clockwork mod. If that happens just rerun and it will get it fixed next attempt. Might be the computer I use I do not know, but it has successfully completed each time after I just re-ran the revolutionary.

No I know someone who rooted after getting newest update and it worked fine. Has to be some step your missing. Watch the video and just do it step by step pausing when you need to catch up.

I have the same issue, i got the latest update from vzn today 2.11.605.9, which is NOT the GB update, which is 2.11.605.5 and I am unable to re-root using the revolutionary tool. Anyone have ANYWAY to get s-off so I can downgrade the pg05img.zip?? help, this phone sucks with no root.

Im not sure whats going on yet with the new update and whether it works or not with Revolutionary but..... You don't need to have the phone unlocked in order to downgrade. Flash the 2.11.605.5 RUU to downgrade and then run the Revolutionary program.

The only thing I'm not sure about is how fast the new update will be pushed back to the phone. I would downgrade and then immediately run Revo as quickly as possible and hope that the update doesnt strike.

How can I unlock the phone to downgrade? If I try to flash an older pg05img it just errors out and says that the version is older. IF i can get this to work, im loading a custom rom, not more OTA.

This is what I tried to get "temp root". Not sure if I'm doing something wrong... maybe you can tell me? I tried researching this error for hours and came up empty handed.
