The stock screen protector isn't great. It attracts lots of fingerprints. So I got a tempered glass screen protector.
To remove the stock screen protector, use your nail to pull it up from the hole near the ear piece. Alternatively, you can use strong tape like packing tape that might be enough to lift it. I would advise you not to remove the stock one until you are ready to install a replacement so there is no dust on the screen when you are placing the new one on.
Once you are, get into a steamy room (like a bathroom after a shower), remove the stock one, and put the new one on. I left the case on as a guide for the new screen protector. If this isn't possible, you can try the hinge method:

Once the screen protector is on, use a credit card or similar to push all the air bubbles out.
