Hey guys I had to go out of town today and needed a net connection and I figured out how to get tethering working with the Samsung Google Nexus S 4G with the 2.3.7 Build GWK74
I thought i would share this with all of you encase you have not figured this out as I have. The free version in the market would not work for me with the new update
1 You need to be rooted for this to work.
2 You will need the wifi_tether_v3_1-beta6.apk Link Here -----> wifi_tether_v3_1-beta6.apk - android-wifi-tether - WiFi Tether for Root Users 3.1-beta6 *** BETA *** - Wireless Tether for Root Users - Google Project Hosting <----- Place this in your internal phone storage sd card does not matter where its at as long as you can find it.
3 For this to work you have to remove any other tethering programs you might have installed (Not Including the stock android tethering app)
4 After you have made sure you have no other tether apps installed you need to reboot into clock work and clear out you cache
5 Go to Menu> Settings> Applications Check the Unknown Sources Check Box
6 Using your file manager navigate to the APK you downloaded and install it (I use Adao File Manager)
7 Bask in the glory of your new mobile hot spot in either 3G or 4G speeds you can add encryption and change settings by hitting menu while in the app there is no device profile for the Nexus S 4G so I left that to auto and had no problems I also set it to Epic 4G and it also worked there as well.
Please be sure to show your support to the folks who made this wonderful app maybe even donate I did
