No, check my signature.
Sorry for the question but what's the easy way to root 4g evo running 2.3.3 ? i just got this phone i don't know much about it. thanks
there is no way at all to root it yet. theres a stickied thread about it
Are you rooted and how did you it ? would you help me out please thanks
Yeah I'm rooted, I didn't accept the OTA so I was still on 2.2 (Froyo) which means I could still root my phone. As for the method I did, well I used the same method that is in the op, also I video from youtube that way I could visually see what was going on along with reading what to do. It was really easy as long as you follow it step for step. Ya, I can maybe attempt to help you, I'm still a noob to this stuff but I did do it all on my own. But first I'll need to ask you a couple questions. First what version of android are you running? From your post I would assume your using 2.3 (gingerbread) which means you cant root just yet, aka devs are still working on a way to do it. Second question is have you done some research? Because one of the most helpful things for me was to just read and watch a ton of stuff that way you know what your getting into.

ya you are gonna have to wait since there is no way to root 2.3.3 yet. heres the thread about how 2.3.3 is not rootable yet. http://forums.androidcentral.com/htc-evo-4g-rooting-roms-hacks/94972-psa-rooting-new-2-3-not-possible-yet-read.htmlI'm running 2.3.3 and yes i've been looking at videos and reading alot of staff but nothing is working for me. maybe i'll just have to wait.
thanks
Fred,Try to update the data profile as well.
You don't by chance know the MSL code for that phone do you?
Fred,
I rooted my phone using your walkthrough, but now I'm interested in switching to Gingerbread. Is the process easy? Do you have a walk through to switch to gingerbread? Or is the process complicated?
Please let me know.
Thanks,
Gabriel
