I have rooted my Evo in Jan 2011 with Sprint Lovers, (You are the Man, Fred... Not many people have the patients to keep up the thread like you...), Well, woundering is there newer/enhanced Sprint Lovers avaiable to update?

You can check their thread over at XDA and install their new version via ROM Manager. The included version is still based off the latest OTA. I haven't really kept up with their releases though.

If you're on the latest OTA you'll need a computer.

Ok I don't know what the problem is but I followed the directions on here to root my girls EVO and it worked fine last night. But now she has can not make call or send text mess. Any ideas????
I did mine a week ago and have had no problems work like a champ

I haven't heard of that, try to update the PRL and/or a reboot.

You don't by chance know the MSL code for that phone do you?

Also, it might be worth updating the radios:

[ Radios ][ 12-17 ] All EVO Radio, WiMAX, PRI, NV & HBoot versions - xda-developers (just flash the combo zip through recovery)

I'll try it tonight.

What's wierd is that she can get on the inter-webs and facebook and all her apps work.

I'll just try to reflash the ROM tonight if the radio thing doesn't work.

That's strange, it's like the phone can make an out bound phone call to connect to her voicemail.

- What happens when she tries to call another number?

Also, have you installed any third party text applications? Maybe give handcent or chomp a try, or take a look at the notification settings in the included text app.

I'll try the flash the radios tonight.
I might have missed something while I was rooting it so I might try to do that again also.
I will post up later if it works or in the morning and let you know how comfortable the couch was...lol

1. Thank you Fred for all your help.

2. Tried to flash the radio's and still nothing so I unrooted the phone and still nothing so I had to call Sprint. They reflashed their side and all is good to go.

3. Now is there anyway to get back the contacts that she saved to the phone instead of to google.
