Hi guys, I come from a samsung epic, but my wife got this phone, so I rooted it and tweaked it a bit.

I used the prevail root method, then went into adb (using the drivers for my epic), removed some of the worthless apks (lcdtest.apk, keytracer.apk, sprintzone.apk, w_installer.apk, etc.). The same dailer codes work so far so I decided to speed up her 3g, I went to terminal and get root "su" then type "getprop ril.MSL", you should get a 6 digit number, this is your msl.....write it down. Go to dialer ad type ##3282## then click "edit" it will ask for a code, enter you msl, after that go to options, then multimedia, change both proxy address' to 0.0.0.0, and both ports to 0.

Would like to try this, what exactly do I need to do here, how do I get into ADB mode?

Don't worry about the ADB stuff. Perform the other steps starting with "I went to terminal and get root "su" then..." to get the bulk of the speedup.

As far as removing those APKs, I don't know what they do, but I'm sure a quick google can tell you.

And of course you need your phone rooted to do this. "su" won't work otherwise.

As far as the apps go, lcdtest.apk does nothing, keytracer.apk caches your key swipes or something, w_installer is sprint ID, and sprintzone is a stupid apk, so I take it out. There are others that I remove too, I try to free up as much space as possible. I also deleted the stock laucher and installed adwex.

you go to the market, type terminal and get the first one. the terminal emulator one

the easiest way to root the replenish is to flash a clockwork mod on the odin, install superuser zip file through the clockwork mod, and then install busy box. you are rooted.
