Had a chance to play with an incredible today and I'm glad I went with the X, and that has nothing to do with software or specs. Just comparing the hardware the Inc feels cheap and does not look at nice or sleek. The droid screen looks so much better and just feels better. I also like the hardware buttons over the soft keys but thats just a personal thing.

This post is not to "diss" the Inc but just something for people to think about before ordering a new droid off verizon being they are both backordered.

Has anyone else got a chance to use both? Your thoughts?

I don't really like the screen on the Incredible. I have only really used it outdoors and I find it really difficult to see. Sense is kind of fun for a while, but I wasn't a huge fan right away. Didn't use it too much, just played some Retro Defense and Papi Jump and enjoyed it. My upgrade wasn't until August, so I wouldn't have been able to buy it even if it was available, but once the X was announced, I knew I had to have the latest model instead lol.

Yeah I'm definitely glad I went with the X over the Inc, it just feels so nice and i really do like the screen size of the X

My gf has an X. I'm always doing tests with our phones lol. Idk to me it's a nice looking device and pretty solid, I wouldn't trade it for my X... If X didn't exist though I'd be all over the Incredible.

i has the inc since launch...it was ok but i started having issues (with three in total).. so far the only thing i miss is the smart dialer, i really dislike the dial pad on motorla and wtf excatly is assisted dialing? I like the x better so far havent hung up(face dial lol) the speaker and call quality is a tad better the screen and colors on the dinc were a lil better imo but i can see my x :) even in the daytime. I too perfer the hard buttons

Yeah, I think the Incredible feels really light, cheap, and chintzy. Well, I actually feel that way about all HTC devices, except the Nexus since i've never actually seen one lol

Wow never seen so many htc haters. To all you noob smart phone users we're all part of the android community. Instead of taking all this time to comparing an extremely capable phone. (Extremely comparable specs.) Focus on promoting any android device that fits the person perfectly.

I considered the incredible for like 10 minutes after I bought the dx. I was having some trouble adjusting to the larger size of the dx vs the droid. I'm happy with the dx now that vie gotten used to it, but I think the dinc is a pretty capable phone.

I got the incredible the day it came out and i loved it until i saw the size of the x. I had been debating on getting an ipad to watch movies and videos that i had encoded on because the screen on the incredible is just too small for that. And then the x came out and i traded some kid on craigslist straight across because he really wanted the incredible and couldn't find it. When i asked him why he didn't like the x i had to fight back the laughter but he didn't like it because he has small hands lol. Worked out for me and i love the x, until something else comes out in 3 months lol.

I had the incredible for a while it was nice but I find the UI on the X easier to use and more features than the Dinc. Call quality is better and overall feel of the device seems better to me. At first the X seemed a little big but now it feels normal to me. The Dinc was always too fast for me always making mistakes but the X is is just right.

I've had the incredible since launch and really like it. I do like the dx screen size but without more upgrade changes and the bootloader locked tight I will wait for awhile. IMO both phones are great we all should be happy :)

Seriously what can come out in 3 months that blows the x, inc, or any new phone out the water. I mean the Inc is getting an update that brings its couple lackings right back to the playing field. (Which is awesome). I can't wait for the phone I am going to get after 1 year and my early upgrade is available. I played around with the X and guess what, it felt DIFFERENT than my current phone. Thats to be expected, it's not what your use to. There is no rocket science behind these facts.

I have them both, and they are both awesome in their own ways. Really the only differences are size, the Sense, and screen type. It all boils down to which you prefer, not which is best.
