Had To Go...

So my T-Bolt has been flawless up until the beginning of this year. January found that I had lost all data connections, had to do a factory reset to get it cleared up. A few weeks ago it decided to lose its WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. Had Verizon send me a 'new' T-bolt, only to have it become a brick a day later.

This experience rubbed me the wrong way, so rather that suffer through another 'new' replacement T-bolt, I went onto a Rezound. Must say I'm much happier with it, the dual core processor is faster than the T-bolt, plus the Beats sounds amazing!

It'll be sad to go since I've gotten many tips from this part of the forum, but guess I'll be around in the Rezound side of the house.

See ya...

Sorry to see you go, but it's good you got a phone you're happy with. Have fun with the Rezound!

I'm glad my Thunderbolt is still working great...because I'd really like to wait for at least the first Verizon 4G HTC ICS device with Sense 4.0.

Rezound sounds great, but more of a "Thunderbolt 2" than a real step up for me.

It would be nice if they would but they wont, they will only give you another TBolt.

+1

I'm not signing a contract just to get a Thunderbolt 2.

I'm hoping the new "One X" comes to Verizon later in the year with some great improvements. Right now the only thing I would consider is a Razor Maxx.

I've seen at least a couple people on here get a Rezound as a replacement after multiple failed Thunderbolts. It's not common but isn't impossible.

Will Verizon offer the Resound as a replacement if your Tbolt is defective?

How do you think I got the Rezound in the first place?

It's pretty well known that Verizon is NOT in the habit of allowing people to switch devices even after multiple warranty claims. The policy is that they will replace the device if claim is valid, but only for the same device. Having said that, there are also plenty of documented cases on these forums where folks were able to switch to another device, so it's obviously not impossible -- other times they may allow you to simply upgrade early if you're willing to extend your contract. It's worth trying I suppose if you're having issues with your device, but you probably shouldn't *expect* to be able to switch devices over a warranty claim.

It happens more than you think. I used to work tech service for Verizon so I know it happens. My wife got a Dinc2 on her first claim with her Zinc
Tbolt owners were given the opportunity to switch devices before they resolved the auto reset error. Verizon will switch devices if it gets an overwhelming amount of negative feedback and reports.

I had continual issues with Blackberry. Retention allowed me yo switch to Android. I got the Incredible. Loved it but the screen went out twice and early upgraded to the thunderbolt. It has been a very decent phone
