Handcent issues with Slider

Does anybody else notice massive slowdowns when using this messaging application, especially when popups appear? I don't know if the issue is device specific or app specific, but nothing else causes what I recall, and no other devices I ever installed Handcent on had the issue.

Be forewarned I've mostly been using GO SMS, but stopped recently because of the overwhelming adverts. So I might not have a handle on recent versions of Handcent.

could be the app settings for your led. i messed that up once so i know. have you tried ad free for go sms?

Hmm, maybe you're right. Either way similar programs do not misbehave. And the issue is not with conventional in-app ads, but rather GO SMS advertising... its own themes. Constantly. I would rant more but that would get off topic fast...

try disabling the quick reply. i remember when i was running gelato 11-13 every now and then it lagged to a crawl with handcent's quick reply
